Ok, we will admit it. Out wine-tasting tour is more of a wine-drinking tour. As Mick and Fiona discovered yesterday on a fab day out in honour of Mick's 70th birthday organised by his mates.
Raise a glass of wine or five to Mick on the day (nearest right). Happy days mate!
Secret Spain location up in the hills of the Almeria Alpujarras in a hidden away bodega makes for the best vineyard venue, I know of. Thanks Manolo, -you and your lovely staff provide such caring and smiling service, so that Mick and his friends (and of course me!) had a delightful afternoon imbibing those great wines (all organic)! Most likely our guests are imbibing today too with their take-away crates!
The chefs never let us down here either - local seasonal produce, beautifully prepared - spot on Pili and Josema! Thank you as always.
I prefer the Albarino. No, I prefer the young red, well no the oaked red. Well, shall we try it again and see...
