Lorca embraces the Irish - Spanish St Patrick's Day like never seen before!

St Patrick's Day in Lorca - Day Trip - Friday, 17th March, 2017

I know you think it a little strange, but St Patrick holds a special place in the hearts of the people from Lorca. On March 17th, 1452, they won a famous battle over the Moors and a new Christian reign began. Thier Collegiate church is the only one in Spain called San Patricio, and thus began the tradition of celebrating St Patrick's Day in Lorca.
